Watch the 2 August 2027 total eclipse from Luxor Temple on day two, then spend four nights on a five-star Nile cruise to Aswan.
You are met at Cairo International Airport, taken through the arrival procedures and transferred to your hotel. The evening is free — worth an early night, because tomorrow starts early and matters.
An early breakfast and the flight to Luxor, going straight to Luxor Temple for the total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027. This is one of the longest totalities visible anywhere on Earth this century, and Luxor sits close to the centre of the path. Afterwards you board your Nile cruise and the pace drops for the rest of the week.
Breakfast on board, then the Valley of the Kings and the New Kingdom royal tombs, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon standing alone in the fields. Back to the boat for lunch.
A horse-drawn carriage takes you through the town to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, the best-preserved temple in the country. You sail on to Kom Ombo, a double temple built in mirror image so that neither Sobek nor Horus the Elder outranks the other, standing on a bend above the river.
The High Dam first, then the Temple of Philae on Agilkia Island, dedicated to Isis and reassembled there stone by stone after the dam raised the water. The rest of the day is spent on board.
Breakfast, disembarkation, and a transfer to Aswan Airport for the flight north. You are taken to your hotel on arrival, with the rest of the day free.
